Loving Fall

Well, it's sad I haven't blogged since August. It's not because nothing's going on. Really I would say it's a toss up btwn wondering if anybody reads my bog and the other reason is my pictures that would match my writings are scattered over 3 or 4 different computers. I know I know, I should blog anyway. Every day that passes I realize my girls are growing too fast and I really want to capture who they are right now.

Sarah Austin is loving school at PIS. I think because there are so many kids and the day is full of variety. She gets a full 45 minutes or so of play time. I can remember that being the highlight of the day at 10 yrs old. :) She's growing so fast and does not look 10 but but more like 13. This does not make her mama happy. We seem to fuss mostly over her room that does not stay cleaned (or get cleaned for that matter, unless I do it) and her hair. Gone are the cutesy crinkle ribbons. All she wants is for it to be down (which makes a big difference) instead of pulled up or back in any way. On the upside, she is still the most caring child I know. She has a maturity to her that I sometimes can't understand. She loves reading, which took me 20yrs to enjoy and currently is seeing how quickly she can read through The Chronicles of Narnia. She loves her sister and gets her feelings hurt that Emma Cate does not return or accept her cuddling most of the time. I keep telling her that's typical for a 3yr old but she doesn't seem to believe me.

Emma Cate is definetly a mama's baby and daddy's girl. TJ has taught her the words to "Victory in Jesus", which she sings all the time. She also loves to sing the theme songs from Maverick and Cheyenne. Yes, my child watches old westerns from the 60's. :) "This is the Day" is another favorite as well as "Jesus Loves Me". She LOVES dressing up and was appropriately Cinderella for Fall Festival. Her favorite shows are Dora, Diego, Blue's Clues (shoe shoes) and Yo Gabba Gabba. She also loves watching Veggie Tales movies that were Sarah Austin's. She loves to ask me or TJ at bedtime, "u want to lay down wif me?". She has gotten in the habit of watching Blue's Clues or Cindrella as she drifts off to sleep. It's so funny how you handle your kids differently. I've never been one for having tvs in bedrooms, but after marrying a man who loves gadgets, but now both girls have one in their rooms. :)

I'll try and add some current pictures tonight. Lord knows I have a ton of them. :)

I read your blog, although not every day. I only get a chance once a month or so to sit and read all the blogs I enjoy. But I do read yours, and I love keeping up with your girls through the web, so please keep it up!
